These past two weeks have flown by! Here’s what my team and I have been up to.

But before I start there, let me officially introduce my team! Our team name is Teshuvah. Teshuvah is a Hebrew word meaning a change of heart -> a change of mind -> a change of action -> leading to a full turning in repentance to the Lord. I absolutely love these girls like sisters and I’m so excited to see how the Lord uses each and every one of us!

Ministry recently has looked like a lot of different things. We spent a few days last week painting the girls and boys bathrooms. On Friday mornings we now go to the Nursing Home and we just get to love on the elderly there. We get to paint their nails, cut their hair, dance and play games. We’ve gone two weeks now and it’s so good to make connections and get to know them / their stories even with the language barrier.

Last Saturday night I had the privilege of talking to the youth at the church here at the foundation about evangelism. We got to share with them a part of our testimonies and give them some tools for evangelizing. After youth, I was invited into the youth pastor’s home to play games with the kids from the group! Other ministry opportunities we’ve had is recycling, (which is tearing apart plastic and paper so that the foundation can donate it and get some money back!), and teaching English to the sweetest married couple.

Some of my favorite moments recently have been anything active. We’ve had two more adventure days. On one of them we hiked 8 miles up a mountain above the city. The views were so amazing! Yesterday, a few girls and I went to a smaller town about an hour outside of Medellín called Retiro. This place was so cute and we ate the best pizza! One afternoon after ministry, my team as well as the boys went to a field to play soccer. This was definitely one of my favorite afternoons yet!

Some things you could pray for!

•prayers for my squad (safety, but also spiritually!)

•prayers for Medellín and for a revival here!

•prayers for boldness and strength to be able to spread the good news!

Love and appreciate you all!!
